October 29, 2011

The October 29, 2011 Halloween broadcast shows Dr. Dave and Evil Steve at their funniest and most practical. They joke that Evil Steve’s idea of reducing Halloween preparation still means starting in April, while Dr. Dave remembers being four or five in Hawaii and racing to sleep before the Perry Mason theme traveled through the wall beside his bed. Dr. Dave’s consulting philosophy is equally clear: do not assume a caller already knows a “basic” term, plan technology around how a person will really use it and judge a cloud move by its risks, backup plan and the client’s comfort with change. A panorama also reveals the way his mind connected modern southern Arizona roads with wagon travelers and the Cape of Good Hope with sailors navigating it under wind power.
