After a feed failure disrupts the opening, Dr. Dave and Evil Steve refuse to lose the missing segment: at the scheduled end they announce that they will stay live and replace it for listeners. They return from the prior week’s Kelly’s Ride full of gratitude for the turnout, their friends, the Tucson Mountains and the event held in Kelly Bond’s memory. Halloween brings unusually personal radio, including Gina’s annual chili, Dr. Dave’s childhood fear of the Perry Mason theme and his plan to dress as Windows Vista by standing still, responding slowly and leaving every task half finished. Mark’s enthusiastic review of a new phone ends when the supposedly excellent connection drops, giving the brothers a perfect live punch line.
