The show makes DaveMason.com's Website of the Week charitable for the first time after niece Rachel recruits Dr. Dave to help the Muscular Dystrophy Association. In two enduring discussions about online safety, Dr. Dave says technology is neither good nor evil by itself and recalls an old consulting maxim: however technical the symptoms appear, people still design, build, configure and protect the systems. A caller then proposes a family-preservation project strikingly close to this memorial archive, scanning old photographs and recording his father and aunt identifying the people and telling their stories. The episode also preserves the earliest public discussion of Windows 7 and one of Dr. Dave's direct political editorials, in which he remains proud of America while declaring himself in contempt of Congress.
