Coherent president John Ambrosio traces laser display technology from large water-cooled machines to a compact light engine, then explains how pure laser colors could widen a television’s color range and discusses uses extending from medicine to missile defense. Dr. Dave argues that people can reject websites that demand one browser and later treats AOL allowing former subscribers to retain their email addresses as evidence that Internet users had learned they possessed alternatives. The brothers preserve the show’s personality through Dr. Dave's son Nick overseeing the broadcast, family Christmas-shopping secrecy and Evil Steve’s questions about lasers on sharks, while Dr. Dave patiently works through a Windows 98 caller’s missing recycle bin. The program also captures engineers translating Spintronics into an understandable picture, the Nintendo Wii controller fitting natural human movement and Dr. Dave’s belief that learning a few basic protections lets people enjoy the Internet safely.
