Evil Steve explains that rebuilding the show archive let him listen again, learn from Dr. Dave and make earlier answers available to listeners whenever they needed them. Dr. Dave reassures people who feel embarrassed about not being computer experts, saying that they are the vast majority and that technology can overwhelm even responsible adults. A caller asking for the best computer prompts Dr. Dave to define the answer around the person, purpose and budget rather than automatically naming a manufacturer. The show also remembers Computer Shopper’s grassroots character and compares restrictive digital rights management with the copy protection that once made legitimate floppy disk backups difficult.
